Important Aspects of Holy Matrimony:
Form: The form of Matrimony is "I __________, take you ________, to be my wife/husband. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life."
Matter: The matter of Matrimony is mutual consent to live together as husband and wife in the covenant of marriage and consummation of the marriage. Secondary matters of this sacrament is the rings.
Minister: The bride and groom are the ministers of the sacrament in the presence of the Church as a witness.
Rite: In Holy Matrimony, they first stand and the Priest recognizes the receivers of the sacrament. The Priest then questions the future bride and groom. You should make sure that you are ready for all of the responsibilities that lie ahead for you in your life together with your special person.
